In Support of Youth Off The Streets and The Wayside Chapel
Every weekend from November 13th to December 20th, we will hold a free gift wrapping stall at the Rock Markets in Sydney for those who want their loved ones to receive a Christmas present with an extra special touch.
Our stall will have a gold coin donation for anyone who attends the Rock Markets this Festive season. All donations are going to two of our favourite charities- Youth Off The Streets and the Wayside Chapel. These wonderful charities help the community in several different ways and deserve our support during the holiday season. There will also be the opportunity for the donation of gifts which will be given to the families and children supported by our chosen charities. The staff of the Rock Markets has been very supportive to our cause and have allowed the project to become such a success.
“In these hard financial times the neediest seem to be marginalised and pushed away even further…extending a helping hand to people in need is the greatest reward. This is the true meaning of Christmas” - Director of AFX, Ashan Winslow.
The Australian Fashion Exchange is committed to supporting Australians in need and those around the world. The AFX is fashion with a conscience and through fashion we can express the amazing spirit within us. If we help one person we can create a ripple effect that will make the world a better place for us all.
Alongside our free gift wrapping initiative, we have a stall featuring pieces from AFX members.
So if you are at the Rock Markets over the Christmas season please do pay us a visit. Christmas is a time for giving and make sure what you give this Christmas creates a ripple.

"We would like to express our deepest gratitude to the Australian
Fashion Exchange and the stallholders at the Rocks Markets, for
organising and supporting the gift wrapping initiative for Christmas
2009.
Not only did we raise valuable funds for our programs, it was also a
great awareness campaign for the general public on who we are and what
we do. The kids from the Macquarie Fields outreach programme also
appreciated the Christmas Trees that were made - the smiles were from
ear-to-ear."
